How We Work — What to Expect When You Instruct Urban Tree Management
Urban Tree Management works in a straightforward and transparent way — fixed-fee quotes, no hidden charges, and a named consultant from first contact to report delivery. Here is what to expect when you instruct us.
STAGE 1 — Initial Enquiry — Free
Contact us by phone or email with your site address and a brief description of what you need. We will confirm which service is appropriate and provide a free fixed-fee quote typically within two hours during working hours. The initial conversation is free — if you require a specific professional opinion or written advice at this stage a fee will apply.
STAGE 2 — Fixed-Fee Quote — Free
We provide all quotes in writing on a fixed-fee basis — you know exactly what you will pay before we attend site. No hidden charges, no hourly rates, no surprises. We aim to provide quotes within two hours during working hours. If you need to discuss the scope of works before a quote can be produced we will tell you that upfront
STAGE 3 — Instruction
Instruction by email is sufficient to confirm the commission. On instruction we will confirm the site visit date, any information we need from you in advance — such as a CAD base file for BS5837 surveys — and the expected report delivery date. Our standard payment terms apply on instruction.
STAGE 4 — Site Visit & Report Delivery
All site visits and reports are carried out personally by Carl Riva — you will always deal with the same consultant from enquiry to report delivery. Standard report turnaround is five to seven working days from site visit. Fast-track turnaround is available on request. Reports are delivered by email in PDF format.
STAGE 5 — After the Report
We do not disappear after the report is delivered. If you have questions about the findings or recommendations we are available to discuss them. For monitoring investigations — where a reassessment is recommended in 12 or 24 months — we will contact you in advance of the due date. For planning applications we are available to respond to local planning authority queries arising from the report.
